Sai Baba arrived in Shirdi as a young man and remained there until his passing in 1918. Little is known about his early life, but his teachings of love, compassion, and selfless service attracted a growing following. After Baba took Samadhi in 1918, the temple was built over his tomb. Over the years, the temple complex expanded to include places where Baba spent time, like Dwarkamai (the mosque where he lived) and Chavadi (where he alternated sleeping). The Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust was established to manage the temple's affairs and ensure the continuation of Baba's legacy. The temple has grown into a major pilgrimage site, attracting devotees from all walks of life who seek Baba's blessings and guidance. The temple stands as a testament to Baba's enduring influence and the power of faith.
