    History

The history of Gurusthan is intrinsically linked to the arrival of Sai Baba in Shirdi. It is believed that Sai Baba first appeared in Shirdi as a young boy, meditating under a neem tree. This location became known as Gurusthan, marking the beginning of his spiritual presence in the village. Initially, the site was a simple, unassuming spot. Over time, as Sai Baba's fame grew, devotees began to recognize the significance of the neem tree and the surrounding area. A small shrine was gradually built around the tree to commemorate this important event in Sai Baba's life. The shrine has been renovated and expanded over the years, but the neem tree remains the central focus, serving as a constant reminder of Sai Baba's humble beginnings and his profound spiritual power.

Reception and Hospitality is very good. Staff are very supportive and helpful. Location is also very near by to temple, just a 10-12 min walk to Temple gates. Rooms are not so hi-fi, however they are good and decent to stay with family without any issues for affordable price.

I booked a room believing the pictures online. Please note the pictures there are several years old. The current state of the hotel is pretty bad and smells bad. I even left the advance I paid to run away from them. When I later claimed my advance back through booking.com, they say that I paid no advance. Bunch of cheaters , stay away.
