Pookode Lake is a peaceful, scenic spot surrounded by greenery and hills. The lake offers relaxing boat rides however there is a lot of wait time, There are small shops for snacks and souvenirs. It’s perfect for families and the kids will enjoy playing in the park and visiting the aquarium. Beware of monkeys ☺️
Just a normal lake around which one can walk and relax. The lake water appears reddish in colour because of the enormous amount of invasive flower(photo added) present in the water. ⛔️Leeches are seen⛔️ Also monkeys, so keep your belongings safe. Entry fee: Rs 40/- The main activity at the location is different kinds of boating. A bird park is present outside the lake near the entrance. Also horse ride is available outside. Biodiversity: Varieties of butterflies are seen. Refreshments: Stalls are available inside. Restrooms: well maintained restrooms. Parking: Paid private parking available 300mts ahead.
A great place for a walk, peaceful, well shaded and clean. During holidays it would be extremely busy. Tickets are very reasonable but the boating prices seems bit expensive. Has a few kiosks for snacks, quick bites and refreshments. If you are coming by a car you might have a tough time finding a parking spot, if you are coming by public transport you will have to depend on autorickshaws to reach the destination. Overall a great place for a walk.
Not worthy to visit there even though the entry fee is just 40 Rs/person. children's play area is completely useless , everything is Broken or dirty, aquarium is literally disaster, water is not clean and you can see fishes are dying.i am a wayanadan and I felt it's more like a scam.pookode lake used to a good tourist destination for all type of tourist
