The statue was built using concrete and steel and took several years to complete. It was designed by renowned sculptor Shivaram Hegde. Recently, I was fortunate to visit the magnificent Murudeshwar Temple, a hidden gem on the Karnataka coast. The centerpiece of this sacred site is a colossal 123-foot statue of Lord Shiva, overlooking the tranquil Arabian Sea. I was mesmerized by the intricate details of the statue and the stunning backdrop of the ocean. The temple complex also houses a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and other deities. After exploring the temple, I spent some time relaxing on the pristine Murudeshwar Beach. The soft sands and gentle waves were the perfect way to unwind and soak up the sun. I also enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch at one of the local restaurants.
