Sadaqat Ashram was established in 1921 as a center for the Indian National Congress and a base for Mahatma Gandhi's activities in Bihar. It played a vital role during the freedom struggle, serving as a meeting place for leaders and volunteers. Gandhi himself visited the ashram several times, and it became a hub for promoting khadi and other Swadeshi movements. The ashram also served as a training ground for satyagrahis. Over the years, it has been preserved as a historical site, a testament to the values and principles of the freedom movement and the contributions of Gandhi. Today, it stands as a memorial and a place of learning.
