Sitla

Historically, the area around Sitla, like much of Kumaon, has been influenced by the Chand dynasty, who ruled the region for several centuries. Later, it came under British rule. However, Sitla itself remained a relatively untouched and sparsely populated area, primarily known for its agricultural activities and natural beauty. In recent years, with the rise of eco-tourism, Sitla has gradually gained recognition as a peaceful retreat. The development of infrastructure, while minimal, has allowed more travelers to access and appreciate the region's charm.
