The history of Shree Salasar Balaji Temple dates back to the mid-18th century. Legend has it that a farmer in Asota village unearthed a miraculous idol of Lord Hanuman while plowing his field. Simultaneously, a devotee named Mohandas Maharaj had a divine vision instructing him to establish the idol at Salasar. The idol was then transported to Salasar and consecrated. Over time, the temple gained immense popularity due to the numerous miracles associated with it. Mohandas Maharaj played a crucial role in developing the temple and its surrounding infrastructure. His descendants continue to serve as the priests of the temple, maintaining the traditions and rituals passed down through generations. The temple has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years, transforming it into the grand structure it is today.
