The Tura Baptist Church has a rich history deeply intertwined with the spread of Christianity in the Garo Hills. Established during the early missionary efforts in the region, it played a pivotal role in converting the local Garo population to Christianity. Over the years, the church has grown from a small gathering place to a large, influential institution. It has not only served as a religious center but also as a hub for education and social development in the community. The church's history reflects the resilience and faith of the Garo people and the dedication of the missionaries who worked tirelessly to establish a Christian presence in the region. Its evolution mirrors the changing landscape of Tura itself.
