Symbiosis International University

The Symbiosis Society was established in 1971 by Dr. S. B. Mujumdar with the aim of fostering international understanding through education. Initially, it catered primarily to foreign students, addressing their academic and cultural needs. Over time, Symbiosis expanded its scope, establishing various institutes offering diverse programs across disciplines like management, law, engineering, and humanities. The 'International University' status was conferred later, reflecting its growth and global outlook. The Lavale campus, a significant landmark in SIU's development, was established to accommodate the growing student population and provide state-of-the-art facilities. Today, Symbiosis is recognized as one of India's leading educational groups, attracting students from all over the world.
