Pench National Park's history traces back to the 16th century as a hunting reserve. Formally established as a sanctuary in 1977 and later as a national park in 1983, it gained tiger reserve status in 1995 under Project Tiger. The park's name derives from the Pench River flowing through its heart. Its rich biodiversity and literary connection to 'The Jungle Book' have contributed to its popularity as a prime wildlife destination in India.
It’s beautiful and rich with wildlife. Little less frequented by people in comparison to Tadoba National Park so the place is still intact and beautiful! Was lucky to spot two tigers and different varieties of deer and many more animals and birds. Was a thrilling experience 🤗
A beautiful national park and said to be the 25th tiger reserve in India. We entered this park via Sillari gate which is the core zone of this park. The landscape was stunning with beautiful aesthetic bamboo grooves inside the forest which looks so calming. We did two safaris here but were not able to spot any tigers. We spotted a lot of birds like grey hornbill, kingfisher, jungle owlet etc. We also spotted a couple of jackals near the pench river. This is one of the renowned national parks in India to spot tigers during summers but if you want to experience the beauty of nature then do visit this park during winters. This was my second visit to this park as I already entered this park via touria gate from Madhya pradesh
Our three-day visit to Pench National Park was an exhilarating wildlife adventure. Witnessing the majestic tiger and elusive leopard in their natural habitat was truly awe-inspiring. The park's diverse flora and fauna, coupled with knowledgeable guides, made the experience unforgettable. The serenity of the surroundings and the thrill of spotting these magnificent creatures make Pench a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts.
Beautiful Jungle. I did 3 safaris and was fortunate to sight tigers in all 3. The guides are very helpful in spotting rare species of birds and animals that are present in the park.
