The Suvarna Ganesh Temple's history is intertwined with a remarkable discovery. In 1997, a local woman unearthed a copper box containing a pure gold idol of Lord Ganesha while tending to her farm. This discovery led to the construction of the Suvarna Ganesh Temple to house the precious idol. The idol, weighing around 1.5 kg, was adorned with precious stones and became a major attraction, drawing devotees from far and wide. Tragically, in 2012, the golden idol was stolen. Despite this loss, the temple continues to hold immense significance for the local community and remains a symbol of faith and resilience. A silver idol has been instated in place of the original gold one.
