    History

Brahmagiri Hill holds religious significance as it is believed to be the abode of Lord Brahma. Legend has it that Lord Brahma performed a Yagna (sacred ritual) on this hill, giving it the name Brahmagiri. The hill is also associated with the Ramayana epic, with stories suggesting that Lord Rama, along with Sita and Lakshmana, passed through this region during their exile. The ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva at the summit adds to the hill's historical and spiritual aura.

It's a really tough and wonderful hiking spot, This trail covers forest covered area and finally open mountain with grass i went during February mountain was dry. Here we get to see many species of birds snakes and animals. At the peak you can see Karnataka as the peak itself is a border. Try to hike as early in the morning. Its a rich forest and you will be enjoying each step.
