According to legend, during her pursuit by Bhairon Nath, Mata Vaishno Devi rested at this spot before finally reaching the Holy Cave. It is said that when Bhairon Nath approached her, she shot an arrow through the mountain, creating an opening now known as the Holy Cave. As she took her final steps towards the cave, she left her footprints embedded in the rock, which are now worshipped as Charan Paduka. Over centuries, this site has become an integral part of the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage, with devotees considering it a blessing to pay homage at this sacred location.
