Baba Payam ud Din Reshi, a prominent Muslim saint, lived during the 15th century and served as an advisor to the Kashmiri king Zain-ul-Abidin. Known for his piety and wisdom, he dedicated his life to spiritual pursuits and social service. After his demise, the shrine was built in his honor and has since become a significant pilgrimage site. The shrine's architecture reflects the traditional Kashmiri style, showcasing intricate woodwork and a distinctive green dome. Over the centuries, the shrine has undergone renovations and expansions, but it continues to retain its historical and spiritual significance.
