The Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of Hinduism's holiest sites, has existed for centuries. However, the surrounding area had become congested and dilapidated over time. The Shri Kashi Vishwanath Corridor project, initiated and completed under the current government's leadership, aimed to restore the temple's glory and improve the overall pilgrim experience. The ambitious project involved acquiring and demolishing numerous buildings to create a wide, paved pathway directly from the ghats to the temple entrance. The corridor's construction also unearthed several smaller, historically significant temples, which have been integrated into the complex. This revitalization effort has breathed new life into the area, making it a more accessible and spiritually enriching destination.
