Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple's history is steeped in mythology. It is believed to have been built around the 9th century by the Paramara dynasty. Legend says the temple marks the spot where Lord Shiva's toe touched the earth, creating a deep pit. The toe impression is now enshrined within the temple. The Nandi statue, made of five metals (Panchdhatu), is another significant attraction.
