Qureshi Haveli

The Qureshi Haveli, like many havelis in Fatehpur, was constructed during the 19th century when the town flourished as a major trading center. Wealthy merchants, primarily the Qureshi family in this case, commissioned these elaborate residences to showcase their prosperity and social standing. These havelis served not only as homes but also as centers for business and social gatherings. The frescoes that adorn the walls depict a blend of local Rajasthani themes, mythological stories, and even glimpses of British colonial life, reflecting the cultural exchange of the time. Over the years, many havelis fell into disrepair, but Qureshi Haveli has been carefully maintained, preserving its historical significance and artistic beauty for future generations.
