    History

Gundicha Ghar Temple's history is intertwined with the Jagannath Temple. Built in the 16th century during the reign of King Prataprudra Deva, it is believed to be on the site of a garden house belonging to Gundicha, the queen of Indradyumna, the legendary builder of the Jagannath Temple. The temple's significance lies in its association with the Rath Yatra, a centuries-old tradition. The annual journey of the deities to Gundicha Ghar symbolizes their visit to their aunt's home. The temple has undergone renovations and expansions over the centuries, but its core purpose and sanctity remain unchanged.

The Birth Place of Lord Jagannath, Subhadra and Balbhadra and Sudarshan, This temple opens only during rath yatra when Lord Jagannath and siblings come here for 9days to meet Dharam Mother Maa Gundicha, During Rath Yatra Festival Millions of Devotees have blissful Darshan of all three gods and this Divine Darshan gives surety of Moksha to each and very Devotees who have full faith on Lord Jagannath, but before having Darshan here you have to take Snan in a holy kund called Raja Inderdyum Tank which Is just 800m away from Gundicha Temple. This is why we believed This Place The Most Divine Place of all time. (Note: this Temple opens only during Rath Yatra and still if you want to have Darshan of Maa Gundicha and Raja Inderdyum so visit at Inderdyum Tank) I Hope You Liked the Information, Do Follow for More

This temple has its separate history which connects to Jaganath.
