Information about the specific historical significance of Nirmaljhar Waterfall is limited. However, it's likely that the waterfall has been a local attraction for generations, serving as a natural source of water and a place for recreation. The area probably holds cultural significance for nearby villages, potentially featuring in local folklore or traditions. The relative lack of documented history contributes to the waterfall's untouched and natural appeal. The surrounding region of Berhampur has a rich history of its own, influenced by various dynasties and empires throughout the centuries. While Nirmaljhar itself might not be directly linked to major historical events, it remains an integral part of the local landscape and a testament to the enduring beauty of nature.
Last year only I got a chance to visit this beautiful and peace place. The temple has a very serene and ancient atmospheric vibes with the convenient transportation and parking. I was very fortunate to visit this ancient temple with lots of memories and experience. Love to visit again....
The Nirmal Jhar Temple was built by the erstwhile king Aparajita Mardaraja. The Nirmal Jhara refers to a constant source of pure water flowing from the Marua mountain nearby.
The temple is very old, established around 1676. The water coming from the mountain is clean and tastes good. If the Govt can think about proper maintenance then it could invite more tourists. The road is good with greenery around.
This temple is a masterpiece state of art of the rich Kalinga architecture. The temple's ambience depicts the unique relationship between beauty of nature with the beauty of heritage. But Somehow , It is seen that the temple is neglected by the tourism authority. This temple must be renovated by the govt. Most of the people who travel in Gajam area, don't have the idea about this wonderful temple But if it is kept at highlights of the tourism, Surely this masterpiece will be an ultimate destination in Ganjam.
