Sula Vineyards was founded in 1999 by Rajeev Samant, who envisioned bringing world-class wine production to India. He started with a 30-acre family estate and a determination to cultivate quality grapes in the Nashik region. However, through experimentation and collaboration with Californian winemaker Kerry Damskey, Sula began producing its first wines in 2000.
