Bara Kaman was commissioned by Ali Roza Khan, the son of Ibrahim Adil Shah II, in the late 16th century. He intended it to be his mausoleum, surpassing the grandeur of his father's Gol Gumbaz. However, the ambitious project was left unfinished after Ali Roza Khan's untimely death in battle. Legends abound regarding the reasons for its incompletion, with some attributing it to a structural flaw and others to a lack of funds or political instability. Despite being unfinished, Bara Kaman stands as a testament to the architectural aspirations of the Adil Shahi dynasty.

No parking. Very congested area... Free entry. Commissioned in 1672 by Sultan Ali Adil Shah II, the ninth ruler of the Adil Shahi dynasty, Bara Kaman was intended to be his own mausoleum. The name "Bara Kaman" translates to "Twelve Arches" in Urdu, reflecting the original design plan. The structure was envisioned to have twelve arches arranged both vertically and horizontally, creating a canopy over the tomb. However, the construction was halted prematurely, and only a few arches were completed. The exact reasons for this abrupt cessation remain unclear, with some attributing it to the Sultan's untimely death or political turmoil.
It was very nice place with historical experience. No ticket was there for entering the place. It was really nice place .
