The history of Milagres Church dates back to 1680 when Bishop Thomas de Castro established a church at this site. It was destroyed by Tipu Sultan's army in 1784. After 15 years, the church was rebuilt. The present structure was built in 1911. The miraculous statue of Our Lady of Miracles, which was salvaged from the ruins of the original church, is still venerated. Over the centuries, the church has undergone several renovations and expansions, reflecting the changing times and the devotion of its followers.
