The Gokarnanatheshwara Temple was established in 1912 by Sri Narayana Guru, a social reformer, with the aim of providing a place of worship for the Billava community and other marginalized groups who were previously denied entry into traditional temples. The temple was renovated and expanded significantly in the 1990s by Janardhana Poojary, transforming it into the magnificent structure it is today.
