The Sasivekalu Ganesha statue is believed to have been carved during the reign of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 15th century. It was commissioned by a wealthy merchant as an offering to Lord Ganesha. The statue is located near the Hemakuta Hill Temple Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is a testament to the artistic and architectural prowess of the Vijayanagara artisans.
This is the location quite popular for its Sunset view point in Hampi. Must visit place and I would definitely recommend to be here. Just an advice, try to be there before 5 PM so that you can enjoy the view along with beautiful sunset. The Ganesha temple is also quite beautiful to have a look.

On the statue one can see the snake carved around his tummy. 4. I would suggest you go in the evening as you can take the blessing of god and then view the sunset. To view the sunset you just need to go a little up the hill and the view is mesmerizing and you will cherish it.
