Kudremukh National Park was established in 1987. Prior to its designation as a national park, the area was exploited for iron ore mining. Conservation efforts led to the halting of mining operations and the subsequent protection of this vital ecosystem. The area has a rich history of human interaction, with evidence of ancient settlements and traditional land use practices. Today, the park serves as a crucial sanctuary for endangered species and a testament to the importance of preserving natural heritage.
🌿🏞️Very much happy after reaching this peak. Visitors are allowed from 6-9 am in the morning, everyone should return before 6 pm on the same day. Its almost 9+9 km trekking, has 3 km very steep. If it rains very difficult to complete the trek.🥾🌿
Trek that will test all your endurance! You need take rental jeep to reach kudremukh base camp from same (( don't ever imagine about reaching base camp in bike)), jeep rent is 1600₹(up and down) for a group upto 8 members. Total trekking distance - 22kms Better start to trek by 7.00Am - 8.30Am if you start after 8.30 it'll be hard to complete the trek even if you complete you can't spent time on the peak.. Timing is very important. By 1.00Pm Guide will start to take you back to the base camp, even if you didn't make it to the peak, 1000₹ per guide for a maximum group of 10 members. it'll take 3and half to 4hours to complete one side. Plastic items will not be allowed inside, so pack your sacks in paper bags. We've take ORS powder packs they didn't even allowed that, then we poured it into our water bottles. It'll be really hard to trek first 4km will be like a piece of cake, next 4kms will be bit difficult and next 3kms will break you both physically and mentally.. Be prepared for that.. Don't forget to take a pole, water bottle, ORS, snacks, food, cap, sunglasses, shoe with good grip. Don't wear jeans, track pants or shorts is fine. Best time to visit this peak is September - November. We went in January it's kind of an off season so grasses are not so green. If you're planing in season time, take some insect repellent cream. Enjoy trekking!
Journey is more beautiful than destination. I enjoyed a lot. A total of 22 kms of trekking length (up n down) . It’s a tough trek I would say. You have to be prepared in prior. Forest department put some restrictions on timing. Now they are providing id cards. I went there through tripbae and the trip was awesome.
