The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden was established in 2007 by the then Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad, with the aim of boosting floriculture and tourism in the region. It was developed on the foothills of the Zabarwan Range, overlooking the Dal Lake. The garden was previously known as Siraj Bagh. The garden plays a significant role in promoting tourism and showcasing the natural beauty of Kashmir. Every year, a Tulip Festival is held during the blooming season, attracting tourists from all over the world.
