Arjun Gufa's history is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology. The Mahabharata narrates how Arjuna performed intense penance here to please Lord Shiva and obtain the divine weapon Pashupatastra. Local legends also associate the cave with the sage Vyasa, who is said to have composed parts of the Mahabharata here. Over time, the site has become a place of pilgrimage and a popular tourist destination.
