Maghnowa Dol dates back to the Ahom dynasty, who ruled Assam for nearly 600 years. It is believed to have been a significant place of worship and a center for religious activities during their reign. The temple's construction reflects the unique Ahom architectural style, characterized by its use of stone and brick. Over time, due to natural calamities and neglect, the temple fell into ruins. However, the remaining structures still speak volumes about the historical and cultural importance of the site. Efforts are being made to preserve and protect this heritage site for future generations, allowing visitors to connect with Assam's glorious past.
